The following position within Volvo Financial Services USA reports to the Manager, Remarketing/End of Lease, and will be located in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Intern – Remarketing/End of Lease

The internship role provides students with the opportunity to apply academic knowledge and skills in a professional environment, and to support/promote the student's career goals through contact with professionals in their field of study. The internship experience enables students to participate in professional activities with Volvo Financial Services by working on important and innovative projects. Internships are structured learning experiences where interns and our full time professionals work together on projects and allow students to integrate knowledge and skills in a manner that is mutually beneficial to the student and Volvo Financial Services.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Support Sr Remarketers to efficiently and effectively manage and liquidate repossessed assets
  • Ensure inspections have been ordered on remarketing assets
  • Prepare repossession files for equipment that will be remarketed
  • Work with dealers and titles department regarding repossession titles
  • Prepare and mail dealer notification letters
  • Process remarketing vendor invoices
  • Input sales information into data base
  • Coordinate with legal & risk management to ensure appropriate handling of assets
  • Assist Remarketers in the compilation of the Equipment Value Matrix
  • Develop process for inventory audits, enhance inventory systems and controls
  • Implement automated process for the update of various sales channels
  • Develop sales closeout and auditing process to increase remarketing efficiency
  • Prepare and distribute month reports and various other reporting needs (metrics & performance)
  • Prepare power point slides to communicate business plans and performance
  • Other duties as may be assigned.

End of Lease
  • Support End of Lease Analysts to efficiently and effectively manage end of lease assets
  • Contact customers and provide marketing efforts to execute planning and strategy
  • Prepare monthly invoices to customers with financing arrangements beyond contractual maturity
  • Prepare and distribute month reports and support other reporting needs (metrics & performance)
  • Prepare power point slides to communicate business plans and performance
  • Other duties as may be assigned

Essential Skills and Required Experience
  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Mathematics, or similar and in school full-time.
  • Must be pursuing their degree at an accredited school and have completed 30 semester hours prior to the start of the internship.
  • Spring Interns are required work less than 30 hours per week and must be enrolled as full-time student.
  • Applicants must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0.
  • Have experience prioritizing work effectively, be an individual & team contributor and be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Have proven interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Fully proficient in reading, writing and speaking English, additional languages a plus
