Vice President of Community and Business Development

Premier FCU is a not for profit, Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), searching for a dynamic leader to develop and execute creative business development, community economic development and marketing strategies.   This position is responsible for identifying opportunities to enhance and expand the impact on our members and communities through partnerships, marketing initiatives and building credit union awareness.  Candidate must be enthusiastic, self motivated and eager to make a difference in the lives of our members and potential members.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Leads coordination of outreach for all community programs initiatives
  • Fulfill the role of Chairperson of our CDFI committee. Track programs and ensure that the requirements are being met; coordinate with governmental officials and consultants as needed
  • Develop and execute strategic plans that align with the overall organizational goals and objectives.
  • Provide oversight and direction for the Marketing Department
  • Develop performance indicators, department budget and executive-level reports.
  • Provide direction for all fund-raising activities, employee volunteer hours and community support.
  • Represent Premier FCU at events in all market areas.
  • Research, develop and maintain community partnerships that align with our community development initiatives.
  • Enhance relationships with Select Employee Groups and identify potential employers to expand our footprint.
  • Assist in the research and exploration of potential market expansion.

 

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of business development experience in financial services with a proven track record of success.
  • 5 years leadership experience with proven skills in coaching and developments of direct reports.
  • Established knowledge of key community influencers such as advocates, policy and civic organizations, local-city-state governments, and local nonprofits that serve the needs of the underserved in our community
  • Knowledge of the Community Development Financial Institution qualifications and purpose.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships and influence others.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Ability and willingness to travel (including overnight) to Premier FCU branch locations in order to build relationships and for business growth.
  • Strong analytical skills necessary to prepare budgets, determine trends in a given market and to assist in financial projections for market expansion.
